The Star Wars mythos is one of the most extensive ever devised. Did you know that, while a member of the Zabrak species native to the planet Iridonia, Darth Maul was actually born on the Dathomir? Did you know that Woodoo hide was used to polish Darth Vader’s helmet in order to give it that nice, evil sheen? Did you know that baked dru'un slices in fish sauce was served as one of the menu specials in the Jedi Temple Refectory on Coruscant? We’re sure you did! But that’s the neat thing about Yoda. Despite being one of Star Wars’ most recognizable and beloved characters, to this day no one knows what species the little master belongs to. The best hint at Yoda’s race comes from George Lucas himself, who joked that Yoda was "the illegitimate child of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.” Not much help, George. Well, the Yoda mystique may go on forever, but that doesn’t mean he can’t help you pass out candy this Halloween! At 20” tall, this statue stands nearly as tall as the real guy. He holds out a clear plastic bowl while wearing an intent expression that says, “Have a piece of candy, you must.” Younglings will love it! |
