Quotes:
|
-
Barney: Do you ever think he might come after you? You ever think about him at all?
Clarice Starling: Well, at least thirty seconds of everyday. I can't help it. He's always with me, like a bad habit.
-
Hannibal Lecter: See ya 'round.
-
Hannibal Lecter: Okey-dokey. Here we go.
-
Clarice Starling: This is from the Guinness Book of World Records, congratulating me on being the female FBI Agent who has shot and killed the most people.
-
Hannibal Lecter: Is this coincidence, or are you back on the case? If so, goody-goody.

Trivia:
|
- There is a vegetarian cookbook on top of the fridge in the "dinner scene" toward the end of the movie. It's visible when Hannibal pushes Clarice against the fridge.
- When Jodie Foster declined to reprise the role of Clarice Starling, Julianne Moore beat Gillian Anderson, Cate Blanchett and Helen Hunt for the role.
- In the scene in the Italian police station, the soccer match on TV is from England and involves Aston Villa. Their player Julian Joachim is seen in close-up.
- One character eats an orange just before going to confront Hannibal. This could be a tribute to The Godfather where everyone who dies is accompanied by an orange in the scene.
- The 500lb man-eating hogs featured in Hannibal were selected by Ridley Scott from audition of over 6,000 other hogs. They were purchased from a farmer, Chaloem Pasak, who lives north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Credits Fun:
|
- After the credits, we hear Lecter say "Ta ta, H.", the closing line of the post-script in his letter to Clarice.
- As the opening credits end, Hannibal's face can be seen in the formation of pigeons on the ground before they fly away.
