The idea of different galaxies and worlds where there were people just like us but then also other people who weren’t like us, and where spaceship travel was the norm, and every interaction was an adventure was totally a trip. And, of course, our favorite part was obviously Princess Leia. It’s so easy to forget that, back then, there were barely any female action heroes, much less amazing female action heroes starring in a movie about space! It was revolutionary, and it inspired girls and women all over the world to start shooting for the stars (literally) when it came to space exploration and travel. Yeah — it was that big of a deal!
